Remarks: De Havilland DH-89A Dragon Rapide / Dominie VH-UTV takes off from Rwy 36 at Temora on 29Mar2011. (Some-one is waving goodbye!). The Vintage aircraft, specially painted as RAAF example A33-1, was participating in the RAAF 90th Anniversary Pilgrimage. Sixty vintage aircraft departed Temora on 29Mar2011, travelling via Tocumwal and Ballarat, and finishing at Point Cook (Birthplace of the RAAF) on 31Mar2011 (the actual 90th RAAF Birthday).
Remarks: At Temora for the start of the RAAF 90th Anniversary Air Pilgrimage. This aircraft was built to an RAF order and became HG656. It was sent to New Zealand and became NZ527 with the RNZAF. After the war it was civilianised and became ZK-ALB and served with Mt Cook Airlines before being exported to Australia in 1971 to become VH-IAN, later VH-UTV. Specially re-painted as A33-1 for the Air Pilgrimage.
