Remarks: A unique ‘RAAF’ Fighter Formation was Flown at the Warbirds Downunder Airshow at Temora Aviation Museum on 19Nov2011. Led by Kittyhawk P-40N VH-ZOC, the Formation also included CA-18 Mustang Mk 21 VH-JUC (ex RAAF A68-105), TAM Meteor VH-MBX (painted as RAAF A77-851), CA-27 Sabre MK32 VH-IPN (ex RAAF A94-983) and RAAF F/A-18A Hornet A21-38 wearing a 75 Squadron 70th Anniversary logo on the tail fins. (75 Squadron was formed on 04Mar1942.)
Remarks: Close-cropped Head-On view of Restored P-40N Kittyhawk VH-ZOC at Temora in Feb 2008. Owner Allan Arthur flew the aircraft from her Albury home base to Temora on a hot Summer day. The P-40N is painted in RAF 112 (Shark) Squadron green livery (with Code GA-Q). RAF 112 Sqn fought against Rommel in the Middle East during WWII. No this is not a Curtiss Bi-plane. The wings visible at rear belong to 'Bird Dog' Cessna O-1A VH-LRE (Cn 21491) in Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) livery.
Remarks: Close-cropped Rear Stbd view of Restored P-40N Kittyhawk VH-ZOC about to stop and shut down at Temora in Feb 2008. Allan Arthur had just finished a polished handling demo over Temora's Rwy 18/36 on a hot Summer day. The P-40N is painted in RAF 112 (Shark) Squadron green livery (with Code GA-Q). RAF 112 Sqn fought against Rommel in the Middle East during WWII. (This aircraft is based at Albury NSW.)
Remarks: Restored P-40N1 Warhawk VH-ZOC taxies in at Temora in May 2007. Allan Arthur had just finished a polished handling demo over Temora's Rwy 18/36. The P-40N is painted in RAF 112 (Shark) Squadron green livery (with Code GA-Q), which hides the aircraft well (but not the Shark Mouth and Red spinner) with eucalyptus (gum) trees in the background. RAF 112 Sqn fought against Rommel in the Middle East during WWII. The 'Shark Mouth' Nose Art makes the Kittyhawk look angry. (This aircraft is based at Albury NSW.)
