Remarks: Breathtaking overview of HKIA - one of the largest and busiest passenger and cargo hubs in Asia! 12 Boeing 747s (including 4 747-8Fs), 3 MD-11Fs, 2 A330Fs, 3 A300Fs and a sole 777F can be seen on the cargo ramp in the foreground, as well as the Hong Kong Air Freight Terminal and the huge Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal on the right of the frame. I lost count of the airplanes at the passenger terminal! Many thanks to Michael Brazier for his editing help. [Canon EOS 40D + EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM]
Remarks: Picture taken off the car park roof , which was full of people watching the amazing aircraft banking in over Kowloon and then dipping down to the runway , the fence of which can just be seen in the pic, this shot shows the extreme closeness of the city to the perimeter making great viewing and sweaty palms for the pilots, scanned froma photo

Remarks: Every time I've departed Hong Kong, it's either been a very hazy day or a late departure. This time we managed to climb very quickly and achieve a view like this. I hope you can see why Hong Kong Airport is referred to as 'Jumbo Jet Paradise'... On the far right you can see Sha Lo Wan - a very popular area for Hong Kong Spotters, whilst on the left is Tung Chung (area where the famous cable car begins). So many photos in the archive, so plenty more to come! Hope you enjoy :)
