Remarks: An early morning aerial view, of the old international terminal T2 and its ramp. This terminal is now used for Haj operations. Most of the Jet Airways A330 fleet is seen parked. Five A330-200 along with one new A330-300. The seventh A330 is parked on the remote ramp, 90 degrees right turn from this picture.
Remarks: An early morning aerial view, of the remote ramp, normally used for parking and servicing. This photo has two rare events in one. First is the Kenya Airways Cargo Boeing 737-300, not seen before this date, at least of JP. Second, is a rare daylight confluence of four Blue Dart freighters. Two 757s parked, one 757 taxiing out, and one 737-200 near the top right of the photo, waiting to line-up and take-off.
Remarks: This Ramp of AI 777 is possible only at DELHI . Most of them preparing for the Afternoon flights to LONDON/PARIS and FRANKFURT. The one extra Aircraft will be Towed to the maintenance hangar to be prepared for a night flight.
Remarks: Wohoo ! we have 2 BA 747s together at DEL !
During the winter schedule BA operates 747 on both the flights to DEL
The one on the right came in as BA 143 which is scheduled to arrive at 11:15PM IST, that particular day it was late and arrived at 4:30AM IST.
BA 257, the morning flight arrived at 5:30am IST.
At this particular moment there is de-boarding going on in BA257 where as BA142(return leg) has started boarding.
Hence there was a 15 minutes slot where there were 2 BA 747s together.
Remarks: I am standing on the Active Charlie Whiskey 1 taxiway as we requested the Apron Controller to stop for us to get this photo opportunity. Seen to the right is the Terminal 3 concourse that is used by Air India and Jet Airways for Domestic operations. To the far left is the International ramp. This area is completely full during the night time with the array of international carriers arriving from different destinations. This shot is specially dedicated to the Delhi Airport Apron Controllers who were very friendly during our Airside spotting session. Three cheers to you guys!!!
