Remarks: These kinds of photos clearly demonstrate why spotting as a hobby is gaining such momentum World-wide, especially over the last decade! QANTAS put on a wonderful display, one could say it was breathtaking... Wishing all spotters a fantastic year ahead in 2012, one with much success :)
Remarks: [1440pxl] It's moments like these that remind you how worthwhile spotting can be... All the best for 2012! My flight reviews site: www.aussie-traveller.com
Remarks: Head on with this beauty allows you to appreciate just how large the Boeing 747 is. The A380 is a wonderful aircraft, but I think I still have a soft spot for the Jumbo Jet! Photo is uploaded at [1600pxl]. Very few SQ 744's left, so enjoy this before they leave our skies...
Remarks: Budget airlines tend to attract negative comments from passengers. Too often, these complaints really have no substance to them. I have not been paid to say this, but I must admit that Airasia has some of the most friendly crew I've travelled with. Our budget airlines ought to take notice and offer the same service, not to mention price... :)
Remarks: Returning from Malaysia… I've sat through many marvelous sunrises and sunsets but this one has to be one of the best. The conditions were just... I'll let you decide!
Remarks: It was a very ordinary day of spotting at Melbourne airport. It began to drizzle so we thought we'd leave early to beat the rain. We saw United approaching but didn't know how quickly the rain would come. Deciding to stay for that one last arrival was certainly the best decision we could have made, even if we got drenched very soon after...
Remarks: You have to look at this at 1440pxl to appreciate the sheer size of this beauty! Almost all wheels have lifted off, departing to London via Singapore. You would almost think he was resting on the tiger tower...
Remarks: I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Wunala still parked in the late afternoon. Still not sure what she was doing so late, but you can imagine the rush to the terminal to catch her. Unfortunately, Melbourne airport's lighting isn't anywhere near as good as US airports! Nevertheless, It was certainly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to catch her at such an hour :)
Remarks: An A330 departs interstate whilst a 738 lines up and waits to depart. One of those 'gems' hiding in the hard drive. Just caught the flashing light on the left wing :)
Remarks: A rare angle that I don't think I've ever seen photographed at Melbourne yet. It provides a wonderful angle especially for the larger aircraft!
