Remarks: This bird was originally delivered 8/45 to the US Army Air Force as 44-78698. This aircraft crashed while landing at Port Alsworth, Alaska on 10/4/00. The plane was rebuilt and now continues to fly as "Salmon Ella". (Nikon D70)
Remarks: This bird was originally delivered 7/45 to the US Army Air Force as 44-78565. In the years following it was operated by Slick Airways, Conner Air Lines, Wien Alaska Airlines, Reindeer Air Service(CF-FNC), Kenn Borek Air, Lambair, Ilford Riverton Airways, and then Northland Air Manitoba before ending up with it's current owner Everts Air Fuel. (Nikon D70)
Remarks: This is a nice shot to have. How often can you photograph 3 DC-6/C-118's at one sitting without being rushed? It's too bad these birds are just wasting away. (Nikon D70)
Remarks: This is one of 5 NAC birds parked at Fairbanks that probably won't fly anymore. We asked if NAC would be selling them and they said yes, just not to Everts Air. (Nikon D70)
