Remarks: Seen here is a unique overview, taken from atop the SIA Cargo building: Right to left: the LAX lights, the old tower, the "Theme Building", and 'new' tower, all under a typically beautiful SoCal sunset. Seen in the foreground on the Landmark FBO ramp is VW's A319(VP-CVX), and XA-OVR, a Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express, and an unidentified craft with a US reg. Seen as well is the ongoing construction of the new runway, 25L/7R, which was still in the finishing stages when this time exposure was taken.
Remarks: This F-16AM comes back from one of the most thrilling performances I have seen to date. These officers really know how to put on a great show for the crowd, demonstrating their great skill, daring, and control of this craft.
Remarks: Dreary day, but the Franklins presented the only way marital conflicts should be solved: 750 feet in the air, 170 mph, with swords! This young couple put on one great show.
Remarks: Not the vapor fest that we had in '07, but this F/A-18C did its best to show us that Prandtl–Glauert singularity, or vapor cone as some would call it. Interesting effects as well can be seen on the tops of both cones: rainbow coloured refractions, caused by the angle of the cone to the sun...not often seen.
Remarks: Seen taking off for the flyby that would include a B-1, a B-52, a C-130, a KC-135, a C-17, 2 F-16s, a T-28, a F-22...WOW. This is strangely my very first BUFF launch shot. What a day. This marks my 500th shot for JP's DB. What a great ride it has been so far!!
