Remarks: American 245 to LAX jets away from Gravelly Point Park after departing Runway 1 at Reagan, making a tight left to avoid the Capital Restricted area. Add a backlit glow and the gear move and it becomes alive!
Remarks: [1600px] Someone told me that shooting a 2.8 piece of glass over plastic 5.6 kit would be a night-and-day experience - now having done it finally I can agree!
Remarks: A baby bus from Colombia laying overnight at Terminal 4 as I wait for the midnight hop to Tel Aviv aboard LY 008. Note the old WorldPort in the back.
Remarks: A fantastic sunset coupled with heavy traffic in Boston! RZO 221 Heavy from Ponta Delgada, Azores descends on 27 as a 737 pulls hard off of 22R and a traffic copter circles the city.
Remarks: Aft economy cabin of El Al 7 to Kennedy while loading up with a bunch of college-aged pax. So nice to be on an older triple with nine-abreast seating, these days it is usually 10 in the back. I had two to myself, making a nice bed for the 12-hour flight. Great service - Tuna sandwiches all flight, friendly crew, too - not much more you can ask for in the airline industry these days!
Remarks: A nice view of the Northwest side of Antigua as we float in for a Visual Approach to Runway 7 as American 799 from New York - JFK. Visible is the old West Indies Oil Company Refinery, which has stood dormant for 30 years since refining operations stopped in the early 80s (it still is an active holding terminal). Also visible are the movie theater and the new Epicurian, and the north part of St. John, the capital. In the background you can see the Cedar Valley Golf Club.
Remarks: First class of "Negev," empty for LY 007 to Kennedy. Luckily for LY, coach was filled to the brim, and business was relatively full. Thanks to the kind crew for the great service and the chance to walk around before the flight.
