Remarks: Polish Bird 411 from Tenerife South approaching runway 27 in Katowice. Please note modified airline name on the fuselage - Air Poland, previously known as Air Italy Polska (AEI), member of Air Italy Group.
Remarks: This cute regional airliner wasn't able to land in Krakow the day before due to poor visibility around the airport. Seen here in Katowice departing back to Munich as LH1627 after an overnight rest.
Remarks: Performing Polish Bird 550 to Sharm el Sheikh. Notice the fog creating behind the aircraft - it became an impediment for the part of planned night arrivals, beginning just after this 757 opf Air Italy Polska had departed. Among unlucky flights, which were redirected from Katowice to next-door airport in Krakow due to temporarily insufficient visibility at the time of approaching, was TU4650 from Monastir, SHY344 from Antalya, MHS4835 from Sharm el Sheikh, XQ3184 from Antalya, W6110 from London/Luton, W6120 from Cork and W6130 from Doncaster/Sheffield. The fog also didn't allow LO6446 charter flight from Chania to land in Katowice, but this one was redirected to Warsaw. Furthermore, LO3879, last passenger service from Warsaw of that day, was cancelled.
Remarks: Picture taken a few seconds after heavy shower. Wet and shiny Papa Golf is almost ready for flight to Tenerife Sur-Reina Sofia Airport, Spain.
