Remarks: New aircraft for this carrier on a test flight before deilvery.
Remarks: No more flying for MX, really????
Remarks: Just before touchdown on 24R
Remarks: All white but at least it has titles.
Remarks: I just love three holers, even if they are not evenly placed on the aircraft! Not sure what type of engine this bird is testing today, but it is the only photo from this side in the db.
Remarks: As I was following this long range aircraft take-off through my lens this hybrid got in the way. Oh well!
Remarks: 1st photo of this aircraft reg in db. This has many odd looking growths to its body. :)
Remarks: This is the last photo of this plane landing in this scheme. Possibly the last photo before it was painted in the DL colors. This plane brought the Arizona Cardinals back from the Super Bowl game then headed to VCV.
Remarks: Here is the 1st photo of a Delta 744 (ex NW colors) fresh out of the paint shop. Departed as a NW flight to DTW with the added "in Delta colors" phrase in communications with ATC.
Remarks: Maybe this arrival is bringing in potential buyers for the hi-rise developments seen in the background? The Polo Towers are dwarfed by all of the construction. My, how this city has changed!
Remarks: If you have ever wanted to see some of the details of a older JT9D engine, here it is.
Remarks: Rare in many ways. A 747 in SAN, not much less a retired NW 747 in the latest color scheme in SAN. Bringing the well traveled chargers home from LGW.
Remarks: Do you ever get the feeling WN is going to take over the world? :)
Remarks: The pigeon above the wing lost the race with the bigger bird, but did not lose it's life!
Remarks: The 1st JetStar 321 in their full scheme, ex Spirit N583NK
