Ohoooooooooo. Another photo for the flight mangers office? There are a couple of reasons why you can do a "high pitch angle on take-off." and I suggest in routine operation none is for the benefit of enthusiastic onlookers! These can be wrong trim, wrong rotation speed, (too fast amplifies the control forces making things lively but normally two small requiring a greater angle of attack to lift off.) Many airlines monitor flight parameters and this kind of thing can spike the tape with an event............ |

Wow! Simply a stunning shot you got there Tony! Great aircraft, great angle and great light....and without a doubt great skills from the photographer It all makes for a wonderful image, and it makes me think that I should go back to MAN real soon. Thanks for sharing! |

Guys, thanks for all the comments - one of those right place, right time moments after weeks of intending to go down on a Sunday afternoon for the Biman |

I've been to Manchester a few times to try and capture the Biman, but I think I could visit 10,000 times and still not get a pic as good as this! AWESOME! |

Great picture for sure on one of my favourite planes!! But............. I'm no expert but dont you guys get the impression that there is a piece of wing missing on the right wing right next to the fusulage??? Take a close look and let me know if this is normal!!! |

Have checked the full size original and others in the sequence - I suspect the apparent missing bit is an effect of the angle of view and the front slats which are extended either side of the engines |

Great picture! I think the picture is absolutely fabulous, but somehow for me the biman red and dark green colour scheme with a black nose really doesn't do justice to the outlook of a big plane. |

Yikes! I've flown Biman. Scary. I do not recommend it!!! |

Spectacularly, stupendously, strikingly, superbly, scarily, scarcely ........beautiful shot Tony. It's been said many times already but I had to say it again as I have just come across this shot. I never had much time to browse when this was loaded so that could be the reason why I missed it at the time. However I am so glad that I came across it today. Really, really well done and many, many congratulations. |

Tony, Thanks for this great picture! I didn't think the oldest veteran of the Biman fleet would look so grandiose! |
