Remarks: A few miles south of the airport, the Las Vegas valley below is blanketed by an ultra-rare snowfall, the most this area has seen in 30+ years. In the distance, the neighborhoods in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson look like a winter wonderland, and in the foreground, the M Resort (under construction) at I-15 and Las Vegas Boulevard can be seen. This rare winter storm dumped between 4 and 12 inches of snow in Las Vegas on December 17, making this shot a once in a lifetime opportunity.
