Remarks: This is the oldest airworthy Spitfire and the only remaining example to have fought in the Battle of Britain; bullet hole repairs can still apparently be seen in its port wing. If the value of classic cars is proportional to their historical significance and sporting pedigree, imagine the value of this beautiful and unique aeroplane.
