Remarks: Five miles due north of the Arizona border is Hurricane Mesa airport, which (as you can see) sits atop a mesa in southwestern Utah, near the town of Hurricane. The airport pictured is not the Hurricane airport, but is near Virgin, UT, and according to my searches bears the IACO code UT27.

Great colours. Congrats. But I have to tell you that K1L8 General Dick Stout field is actually 7.8 miles SSW of this installation. This photograph shows the abandoned Hurricane Mesa airport on the right. On the left is a high speed test track which was used to test ejection and egress systems on the 60's and was a part of the USAF Proving Grounds in Utah. Thanks.
